Van Jones has just been appointed to the White House Council on Environmental Quality, where his job will be to help shape the administration’s energy and climate policy, so that climate solutions produce jobs and justice for all Americans. The news is full of reports on green jobs and green economy initiatives, both in the U.S. and elsewhere, but spokesmen for some conservative think-tanks are already falling over themselves to warn of dire consequences.
